Wedding Venues in Central Scotland

We get to see many different venues in Scotland and the choice and variety is stunning.  So if you’re planning to get married soon – here’s some of our ideas, if you’d like to do something different…..

Why not start with one of the most famous – Gretna Green Blacksmith Shop – Renowned worldwide, the celebrated Blacksmiths shop at Gretna Hall is perhaps one of Scotland’s s best known venue. Many places in and around the small village of Gretna Green can lay claim to being marriage venues, but Gretna Hall was the first official stop in Scotland for traveling stagecoaches and private carriages which made it the first choice for a “Blacksmith’s Wedding”, a hastily performed ceremony according to the Laws of Scotland.  Find out more here: http://www.gretnaweddings.co.uk/venues/gretna-hall-blacksmiths-8.html

Scotland’s most famous landmark is Edinburgh Castle – So why not!  – Celebrate your wedding ceremony and reception at Edinburgh Castle – http://www.historic-scotland.gov.uk/weddings-edinburgh-castle

There are plenty of other Castle’s in Scotland – How about Stirling Castle – http://www.historic-scotland.gov.uk/weddings-stirling-castle

Or for something completely different why not get married on the banks of a Scottish Loch – Loch Tay Highland Lodges offers the perfect venue for your special day , from a large marquee wedding situated overlooking beautiful Loch Tay to a more intimate wedding for 10 to 70 guests in our bistro style Boathouse Restaurant with large decks overlooking the water and open fire and cosy welcoming atmosphere for your wedding and of course, always the breathtaking views. Your ceremony can be held within the Boathouse, out on our picturesque pier, on a nearby mountain top or even on a boat in the middle of the loch!!  http://www.lochtay-vacations.co.uk/boathouse-restaurant/weddings.htm
